Interior designer, ex tv personality and above all world traveller.........

Managed to tick off 116 countries so far and I have become a bit of a master on longhaul weekend trips. So why not start sharing some of those experiences.............I have a lot of opinions on airlines premium services and so far the winner is Singapore airlines tightly followed by Virgin atlantic and their upper class..........you can´t beat the bar onboard to kill time across the Atlantic.

I will also share some design inspiration from my trips and cool bars and restaurants.

I do love early morning powerwalks in big cities. Most cities are beautiful in morning sunlight and the slow awakening when deliveries of wegetables from the country are beeing unpacket in the street stands an lical markets. When masses of people are walking to work ........
Table mountain in the background the see and harbour in the foreground, early morning sunlight, the slowly awakening energy of a large city.....
I love it

After partying last night I had a chill day todaybreakfast, gym, beach and then a nap ........ Thinking of going out the most popular gay bar, cafe manhattan is just across the street and bustling though it's monday.

Decided not to, instead early yoga session in the morning, power walk and a loooooong breakfast.
Really love Cape Town - the only negative downside I found is the water temperature.......it's not even close to swimmable ........
Going with friends for winetasting and lunch tomorrow so want to be on my toes
Enclosing a view puc of the beach

Moved hotel and am conveniently located across the street from the most popular gay bar , cafe manhattan.....
Today was beach day and ubered myself down to my hotels beach club in camps bay.... Very very nice but a bit straight for my liking so took a long hot walk to clifton beach no 3 ... Supposedly the gay beach. I mean I have trained now for a year but I will never get that beefy ever, it must be genetic

Anyway stayed there for an hour and ubered myself back to the gay village
I have to say, very impressed with uber nice, clean, safe and for a sunburnt honky like me........ Airconditioned. It feels kind of safe and resonably priced and once I got a new sim card works beautifully. Uber is like the same around the world, you know what you get and that feels good especially when you are travelling on your own.
Anyway quite unexciting as far as a gay beach goes, one or two in sequence hot pants and the beefcakes
Tomorrow I'm going to try the nude beach, sandy beach - nude beaches always attracts the gay and I am so hoping it's not only the fat straight germans walking up and down the beach to get a tan like in mas palomas
I don't get naked anymore - don't think 51 year old men should and seriously I don't want to burn my ass , been there, done that and it's not comfortable .
Talk soon
Love

Seriously I should be smarter and take a cab.....I'm like a sitting duck just waiting to be mugged. "James" a very handsome black man came up to me and said Let me make you happy tonight - I politely declined but he would'nt leave. He started fondling me and I felt his hand in my pocket.......

You know what you little fucker , I spent 2 days trying to get internet sorted on my iphone so no one is taking that away from me......
Coming from the gay district, walking alone in an orange shirt - hellllooooo they could see me coming........
Anyway I screamed get your fucking hand out of my pocket or you are dead-seemed to work he fucked off , only to return around the block......
I am safe and sound in my hotel now , but a tip to all you 50+ homos going to cape town..... Spring for a cab

Cape town closed off today ..........
Watching it from my hoter window
This yearly parade dates back to the mid-nineteenth century when the slaves in Cape Town were given one day off in the year (2 January). To celebrate, groups would dress up as minstrels, waving parasols, strumming banjos and making merry with music, dance and a parade from the District Six area through to the city centre. Many of the songs still sung today date back to the 1800s. Aside from honouring these classic tunes, repertoires are also laden with interpretations of modern pop songs to keep all ages entertained.
